Hi All,
Just thought I'd post some pics of my Milano CTR which arrived today. I saw it during the day but didn't have a camera on hand so these pics are from the wrong side of the showroom glass. I'll be fetching it in the next 2 days. Very exciting stuff! This car is so hot right now. This is the first time I've seen a CTR in the metal and can I just say, pictures hardly do this car any justice. ![]() Note the 'Sold' sign and Bottle of bubbly on the roof: indicating that this particular model already has a new owner. No prizes for guessing who that is. ![]() I think the CTR looks pretty menacing in this pic, like a caged beast wanting to break free and rove the streets looking for some action. It could just be me though. ![]() As a side note, I'd like to thank everyone here for being part of such a FANtastic forum (I know I'm new here so I hope that doesn't sound a little condescending) Cheers. |

I remember the day I first met my CTR in the showroom. You feel really proud and amused to see other people looking at your car.
Too bad it's not as shiny as it used to be, that first day Car looks awesome, have fun !! |

Thanks guys.
If I get my act together tomorrow morning and they register and insure the car, I could be driving it by the afternoon. As for posting more pics, expect to see more of this baby! Quote:

I would be well peed off if they stood a bottle of bubbly on top of my car - think I would have to smash it over the salesmans head
Another point to note - get them to move out of sight otherwise you will have every man and his dog (plus his kids) putting their greasy fingers over it I had similar problem with mine - even though I hadnt paid for it officially - told the salesman didnt want people climbing all over it If anything goes wrong now - ie damage - could be a long wait for another? Make sure you have a good look round mine had been PDI'd but I found alloy all scuffed- Was not happy!- at least it gives them time to sort out before you get it Then again check carefully when you pick it up Mines run in now and the Vtec is fantastic |

Pabtyper , Thank you for the valuable advice.
I will certainly give it the scrutiny treatment before taking ownership. About it standing in the dealers front window, I will in all likelihood fetch the car this afternoon, so I don't really mind if everyone else gets to see what they are missing out on. Hehe I've never had a VTEC before, but I sure am looking foreward to it. I managed to catch just a glance but, the cars serial no. is 4 thousand and something, even though I have one off of the first shipment here. We are only getting 300 cars this year, and South Africa is a really big country, so exclusivity here will be a definate. Cheers |

Nice pics Bravo I think I'd be more than a bit miffed if the dealer had put anything on the roof of my new car though!
When I picked mine up it was in the showroom with ropes around it to stop anyone going near it! |

Oh my frickin word...
Picked it up today at 4:30pm just before they closed, the registering took a while. Must say I am very pleased with the car thus far. I'm especially thrilled that the performance is everything I had hoped for, and then SOME more.
I can't wait till the engine loosens up a bit and I get more used to the car. I would have posted earlier but all I want to do is drive this thing non-stop. It is addicting! Quote:
LOL Here are some pics of my new car outside it's new home. Obligatory mag style photo. ![]() I'll post better pics in the daylight, soon. ![]() Still have to wait a week for the mats, these are just temporary. At least they are colour coded I suppose. ![]() Cheers. |

I agree Obo, this is one good-looking car.
Sexy & fast, whats not to like? Yeah yeah, I'll get the mats... these temp ones really are annoying cause they don't fit right. I went out for another spin and found myself driving to different suburbs for no apparent reason. I just can't get bored in this thing. Splendid Stuff. Last edited by Bravo; 31st May 2007 at 00:06. |

Hey Harps,
When I went to fetch it from the dealer, they said the licensing had not yet been completed, so they gave me a couple of 'garage' temporary plates to keep in the trunk in case the 'law enforcers' needed something to look at. Normally one would have to wait till the licensing is complete before removing the car from the show room, but I just couldn't wait any longer. So I asked them to make a plan and Viola, I've been cruising town 'cameraless' style if ya know what I mean. Hehe. Must say, it has given me the perfect opportunity to really see what the car is made of. This was the inspiration of my sig. My real plates will arrive tomorrow or the next day, I got 'TYPE R EC' on them. Cool hey? Obviously I'll be posting pics when I get them. Cheers. |

Glad your enjoying yours, it gets looser and quicker the more you drive it, ive only done 2000 miles but have noticed a significant diffrerence. Wish I could go driving 'camera less' 'TYPE R EC' Plates are defo cool... Harps |
