Finally an AEM induction kit for FN2!! in uk

ABP MOTORSPORT

We now have available an AEM induction kit for all you power / noise hungry FN2 owners Click the image to open in full size.

We had mixed results and have good news and bad.

Bad news - The AEM cold air kit will not fit the UK FN2 as there is not space to get the pipe behind the bumper or to get the filter behind the bumper so no cold air kits for those of you living in fear of 'heat soak' Click the image to open in full size.

Good News - We can supply an AEM short ram filter kit that fits perfectly, looks great, sounds f**king fantastic, improves throttle response and gives a marginal power gain (claimed 6-8 bhp). The filter kit is available with either a polished or anodised red (should be popular) intake pipe which includes all necassary take-offs for vacuum pipes, sensors etc and comes with AEM's superb 'DryFlow' air filter unit.

For those of you who want to duct cold air upto the filter there seems to be lots of options to get reasonable feed up to the filter. You can (if you wish) also leave some of the original air filter box feed pipes in place which will help with cold air supply.

On the road the kit sounds great with a nice hearty induction note all through the rev range and makes the VTEC change-over point far more noticable which you will all enjoy. Throttle response is improved, especially in the mid range where the standard set up seems a little restricted. Having only driven the car briefly before and after the power gain is negligable in my eyes however our customer (GuyH) reported that it felt much better but i'm sure he will respond to this with his own views and a video I believe Click the image to open in full size. .

We have a consignment of these filters in both red and polished on the way to us as we speak and have pre-sold over 10 already! The kit retails @ only £175 inc vat Click the image to open in full size. with fitting in our workshop only £45 inc vat.

Phone today to advance order or with any further questions on 01270 567177.

Thanks, Chris

Could you give us the exact AEM part number for the short ram kit ?
Some of use will want to check their local (non-uk) AEM suppliers.

And a video with sound would be freaking awesome

Thnx

This might be a stupid question but if this induction kit is fitted would it make the Honda 3 year warranty void? Just that my dealer said only Honda parts should be fitted to meet the warranty.

I've had an AEM CAI on my previous Civic. The dealer never mentioned it. Even when the car needed to be inspected at the 3 year mark.

Before you open the box and throw it away, please write down the exact part number from AEM and let us know.

I spoke to a dealer about this and they said it wouldn't void the warrenty just for having it on there.

I mean if the brakes went wrong then the warrenty would still be valid.

But if there were engine problems then i could see them trying to get out of it by saying it is because of the induction kit.

Thats a risk you would have to take i suppose. I was planning to extend the warrenty when it comes to it as i want to keep mine for a loooong time. But in time, i also want to add a few lil bits, so im 50/50 on what to do personally.

Please can you say you have fitted this app to a CTR as the throttle body on the pics is at an angle of 25% backwords towards the fitment of on the ctr and also fitted to the ctr fouls on the battery possitive terminals ...
Plus no gain in power boggs down at 3000rpm also and lack of design on fitment
Any ideas ??

Thanks D
