Dealer monkeys! Splitter fitting!

Yes had to use my Dealer for the first time this friday to get front splitter pack fitted. Chiswick, London.

Was waiting for the car in the dealers and got the car back after 3 hrs - 1 coffee and EVO read cover to cover.
They even had to rush fitting the splitter pack at 3 hrs .

1 wheel arch bolt not screwed in all the way so head sticking out
Muddy footprints inside and one of my chewies taken aswell, theiving scum

Relieved of 93 squid + vat.

Didnt even manage to get the car cleaned so greasy finger marks everywhere - once cleaned ill get some pictures up.

Difference on the car - the splitter pack is high gloss black on my NHB - and so very shiny and noticeable.
Should have done it ages ago!
Makes the back look so much more sorted with no lips sticking out.

£93 quid wasn't too bad @£34/hr for 2No.YTS lads!

I agree that the splitters make the car really stand out. Top Job.
Do you mind me asking what the Splitter Kit cost for both Front and Rear sets.

MoOriginal,

So with Vat and then fitting, its cost a total of @ £830.
I'd say its much better value and much more striking than any of the other "Styling" options. Infact I would go as far as to say. Sod the Sat-Nav, sell your old wheels, get the Splitter Kits and then 19inch Wheels from Holdcroft Honda. Who cares if you get lost, at least you look fantastic when you do.

I darent put any unclean pictures up here in case i get flamed
and dont have time to wash it at present...

I shall do so however with another car to make the pictures more interesting.

My original splitters are NHB - and yes i guess they would up for sale.

I agree with the comments about the Grand Prix pack [new splitters] they make the care look completly different.

Im fortunate to have a honda salesperson in my road that has NHB CTR like mine - think its a work car - but he has standard 18's on and the standard front splitters/bumper combo..

Its useful to see its compared to mine.

Thoughts I have had - like the brighter alloy shine of the 18's - enough to know I have the rages but i still like the 18's ...

But with my splitter pack and the 19's I have a much more agressive car but unfortunately less clean than others.

Good link that dude.
Id disagree with your comments a bit - I love my SatNav - particularly if you just have it on when your in traffic jams - and zoomed out a bit but not directing.
If your in a jam and dont know the area you can see nearby roads that may offer a way out of the jam.
In London driving you need this often !

Point taken, as I do have a Garmin GPS in the Glove Box for just that reason. I would say however that the Garmin Nuvi 660 offers better value and all of the same functions of the Honda Sat-Nav, for less than a quarter of the Honda price (£399.99 from Halfords).

Garmin Nuvi 660FM

4.3 inch Widescreen LCD Touchscreen.
Bluetooth Handsfree Function.
Pre-loaded UK, Ireland and Europe Street level mapping by NavTeq.
Pre-loaded POI database with Customisable Personal POI database function.
Pre-loaded Safety Camera Database (free Via Cyclops for 90 days) Subscription Required for continued service.
Included TMC Reciever with Subscription Free Trafficmaster TMC Alerts.

Oh I defo agree with that for value for money, huge difference.

But id like to disagree a little You knew I would.
The rotary dial thing that you use for the mapping is very good - very easy to use.
But id agree is the large difference in price justified for that rotary knob.
Not really...
Just nice to have it all built in.

Of course you wont be saying any of this if someone comes out with a mod to play DVD's on the sat Nav screen !!!!
Which I believe they are looking at right now.

Feel free to disagree all you like, I don't mind at all. Bang.gif LOL

Ok i'll give you the intigration arguement . It's a pain having to hide or carry the Garmin and the intigrated unit does look better (Well More Intigrated!)

DVD on the Sat Nav Screen. Mmmm. Maybe tempted with that one, as I usually have multi-region DVD and PS2 installed in the rear anyway(for the kids not me!) I did actually consider fitting a sunvisor LCD for the Wife to watch in the front. The problem is that the Sat-Nav screen showing a DVD as you drive would be naughty. It would however be nice to fit a screen in the dash for "Reversing Camera" use and keep the basic (Non-Nav) radio and screen.

Well I didnt really mean it - I dont see myself ever watching a DVD on a 5 inch screen at distance of foot and half from driving seat
not my idea of fun - but it was worthy reposte to your comments for about 2 seconds

But I agree if you got in the odd game in while at traffic jams that you could pause when traffic moved would be good idea perhaps ?

It keeps the kids quiet on long trips at least. - " Are we nearly there yet ? "

Congrat's for the weekend by the way. Hope everything goes as planned. I've been married nearly 16 years now and have never regretted it.
