Surely it's not enough... as for all other types of Civic !

I've googled a little bit and found that 870 civic are produced per day... and from an Australian site that there is a 1200 R Type per year for Australia.

But I'm not sure of the accuracy of the figures.

Is there any Honda men register here who can help us ?

870 per day worldwide, right? I thought they were only made in Swindon?

Type-R is Swindon only.
Is 870 for the type R or all Civics? (must be all given the Type R numbers being what they are - approx 06500 now)

Civics are made in oher places than Swindon.
E.g. the 4 door.

The 870 is the figures I found for the production of Civic in Swindon with a 5 day / 37 h a week work scheme (I suppose in 2 shifts) with a closure period for Christmas and summer holidays.

It's for all type of Civic 5 Doors/ 3 Doors and R Type European model.

The reference to 1 200 R type for Australia come from Honda Australia manager who says it's the first time they import car from UK and that the total allocation is 1200 R type a year.

As a reference the French market for Honda represent a sell of 1 200 civic last year : 1.37 day of production.

I understand why we don't have the choice you can have in other countries...
