Ordered my milano red Type R GT on 19th May, dealer said if i did not order sat nav he could GUARANTEE the car would be ready for 8th of August!

Delivery has now been put back to 1st week in September!
(i am still not convinced i will get the car then)

The dealer will tell you anything to get a sale!

Sort of on topic.

I was visiting the production line at Vauxhall's in Luton.

As I went round the plant with the manager he asked what spec I was going to get.

The spec I gave him was with all available options at the time.

The line manager shrugged his shoulders and said 'We aint made one with all those bits on yet, when did you want delivery?'

After giving a required del time, the line manager then said 'Better check with your dealer then!"

I got the definite impression that Vauxhall would not be able to deliver my requirements on time.

......but my dealer later said 'No problem!'

.....anyway Lady H. didn't like the car in the end so we went elsewhere.

"Golf, the secret of missing a tree is to aim at it!"

I was told delivery was guaranteed for 12 weeks,
but delivery would probably be 9-10 weeks!!
almost 13 weeks on i still don`t have a confirmed delivery date,
Delivery is supposed to be 1st September (I hope) but this could change!

If you ask a few other members they will probably tell you the same story.

ie "illegal hunter", "bonzo" and "always black" to name a few.

some things are worth waiting for (i hope)

Why so long?

I was told right from the off that it would be 20 weeks. A long time and one I find difficult to understand why!
How many can they build each day at Swindon?
If you multiply that by 5 and then by 20, why don't I see huge numbers of Civics on the roads?
Anyone from Swindon?

I know of an LHD NHB Type-R for immediate delivery, and on sale at reduced price!
New and unregistered.

If anyone wants contact details of the dealer, send me a PM.
(I donīt work for them).

I was told buy a honda dealer (who just looked like the slimiest sales person ever) that honda deliberatly dont make enought to keep it more exclusive, they do the same with their executive ranges (the big ones), can someone please confirm this? or is it total BS?
