On another point - I have just been on the phone to Honda Customer Services. I gave them my order number and they confirmed that my car has had a date of 15 October for weeks now! But............................................... ........................

It could have been built before now but they are waiting on the Alloy wheels! There is a issue with production of the Rage wheels at the moment which is holding my car up!

Guy has said that I should speak with my dealer (which I will be doing on Thursday) and they maybe able to do something with regards to the wheels to get the car quicker.

I'd rather wait and have the car looking top class from day one than have the standard alloys fitted.

If its not one thing, its another Grrrrr!

Had a phone call today confirming my type R will be ready for collection during the last week of October. Ordered it the second week of August. So that's an eleven week wait. Not bad compared to some I've read about on here.

Dealers informed me the waiting list is now into the last week of January.

I ordered my car (Milano GT with Sat Nav & Rages) on 31st Aug and was quoted end of Oct pre-order.
3 days after I ordered I was quoted end of Nov from Honda computer system
Yesterday my dealer mailed me to say my CTR would be here before the end of Oct -maybe this has to do with a new supply of Rages???

Anyway

My delivery date was originally for the end of october, but has yoyo'd up and down.

Hmmm well once again I have been onto Honda this afternoon and I was told that the should have been built last week but was put back to the 15th delivery date this week and since yesterday its been moved the the 17th. Reason being, the suppliers of the alloys are having an issue keeping up with the demand is what I was told. So unless they manage to get some in they aint building the ones with rages.

Girl also advised that they don't know when they will get them, so i may now be looking at November at some point. Not ideal due to other arrangements which may have to be shelved now due to the small print on the contract and picking it up within 21days.

God the salesman i'm dealing with who is off on holiday is first class, just a shame the rest of the staff at the dealership aint. They are doing my head in!

I ordered mine, GT with Sat Nav but standard wheels at the end of June.
Was told 20 weeks..........middle of November.
Next communication was from them, phoning me on holiday, to say it would be ready by end of September..
Collected as mutually arranged exactly 12 weeks to the day, from order.
Do not add to your stress levels. It is just not worth it.
Look forward to the car. Hopefully it will be absolutely pefect. Mine was, but now very small paint chip on bonnet.
Without a doubt, the best car I have ever owned.
Not had M3 or anything like it, but for £20K. I'm chuffed to bits.
Hang in there Angie............Deep breaths!

Its just the hassle that yesterday I'm told one thing and today another. Just cant seem to get the same answer two days running.

At least when I get the car my Dad has said that he will buy me the Honda Happiness (so thats £500 saved)

Still considering getting the paint protection film applied, but only to the lower bumper as I don't like how you can only get a small section of the front bonnet done. Only issue is that the company that fits it in Scotland, Tinthuse have to drive my new car to their workshop. I don't mind them doing it, but I draw the line at someone driving my car from the Garage to another one along a motorway before i've even had a chance to drive it myself. Just can't see how they cant fit it at the dealers

Have heard of this protection, but was a little unsure how noticeable it would be!
What's this Honda Happiness?
£500.
You have some Dad...........Let's you borrow his M3 as well!
Mine was driven up from the dealers but I trust the man. Hence the reason I keep going back.
Do hope you are pleased when it does arrive.
Is the picture really you?

Well I saw it on a Silver X3 and I could notice it on the bonnet, hence why I dont want it on the bonnet cause it only goes so far up.

Have you not heard of Honda Happiness? Funny I didn't hear of it until I was looking on here the other day. Its your 5 years servicing for £500, well worth it me thinks as the price of servicing aint gonna go down.

I'm a Daddys girl and I just love cars.....he moans at me for going on about them all the time, but then I am sad, I will admit it. I can tell a car by its headlights (and thats in the dark with the headlights on or in the light without them on) or wheels arches normally.

I hope I only have to go back for services and maybe a chip stick lol!

I really want this car, I didn't really get a proper shot of the dealers one as we got stuck behind a learner driver.

Yes that is really me in the pic - most tame one I had.....why you ask?

Yeah, I know. They looked stunning on the red. Didn't have the same effect on the nhb.

In future I will remember to give more warning about the extras I want because 12weeks can't be enough lol!

Sounds good to me like. I've already been quoted £420 to do the front bumber, so far up the bonnet, the wing mirrors, and the skirts (I just enquired about the stuff and thats what the guy said they did for the price)

Thinking now that I could tell them to do just the front bumper and whole of the bonnet for roughly the same price. Nice one

Yeah! My car is on its way to the dealers! They have called me to say it will be with them today, they will call me again when its in and we can arrange a pick up date.

Just wish the DVLA hadn't of messed up my retention doc cause now i'm having to wait on that again! Grrrrr!

But car has been built very, very quick! I spoke with Honda UK on Tuesday afternoon about 4.10pm and they confirmed that the car hadn't been built but would be soon and with the dealer by the end of the week. Not even 48 hours have passed and its almost with them!

So my wait 12 weeks - also delivered before my original date!

I'm sooooooooooooooooo excited!

Mine arrived yesterday, I'm going to look at it tommorrow and pick it up next week, as I'm away for a few days from Saturday. Just glad the wait is nearly over

They've soon thrown yours together

Enjoy it anyway and I sure it's been worth the wait.
