Don't think they hold on to them for long and sure I read somewhere it's an 8 hour build. When I got mine the sticky goop under the wheel arches was still well...... Sticky and a little bit goopy. Not sure how long sticky goop takes to dry mind

Thumbs down

I am guessing that comment is meant for me. What would you like me to comment on? As its not the car!

Maybe I could comment on how crap the service is from Chatham Honda in Edinburgh. I took the call on a recorded line at work at 10.28 on Thursday morning to be advised that my car would be with them that afternoon and they would give me a call back to arrange pick up, well i'm still waiting on that call.

I now have the phone number for the guy who owns the company and i'll be giving him what for tomorrow! Its not like they can't get me, I gave then 3 numbers. My mobile, my work and my home and not once have they called back.

Once I have the car I will be able to comment.

I have just noticed how fast the Type R numbers go up!

Dimpleyred` s R number is R-9570 he picks his Milano red car up on the 27th October.
I got mine on the 11th of September and got R-8065!

If Honda can build 1505 Type R`s in 5 weeks, why the hell did i have to wait 16 weeks on mine

Does anyone know when R-00001 was built?

Okay so they built that many, but they weren't all for the UK mind. Plus delays on parts can cause the process to be slow.

00001 was probably built ages ago, maybe it was the car that they had Jenson Button in? I know someone who got their car for the 1st of March and the number is 245

Hmm very helpful,
Here is me thinking that R-00001 was built some where between "A Fare Wile Back " and "A Few Months Ago"

My apologies to non Scottish members for speaking Scottish

If they put the numbers on the models at the motorshows etc then 00001 would have been built in 2006?

Picked mine up today Not had much time to have a good go yet as I'm off out on a "work night out" tonight starting, early and I can't get out of it Just had to park it up, but keep sneaking out to the garage to look at it.

The dealer has told me that Honda are starting to get the delivery times of CTR's down to about 6-8 weeks.

No, I'm considering getting it from somewhere else though, but I find the patronising way that buisness managers talk to us, a bit hard to take.

After doing a bit of reading on here, I told him I could get it cheaper elsewhere, and he knocked £50 off without even blinking, that really winds me up

What number is your car?
