After doing a bit of reading on here, I told him I could get it cheaper elsewhere, and he knocked £50 off without even blinking, that really winds me up

What number is your car?
Business manager at the dealership I bought from doesn't come near anyone really. The sales guys are given the authority to do it all themselves even down to the huge discount I got.

My car number is 9279, but is an 08 model! No 07 in the vin, just an 08. Well chuffed like! Also got an Honda umbrella too! It was that or flowers.......needless to say I didn't want them. Dimply, did your not arrive last week? Mines only arrived late on monday night and yours is a higher number!

Salesman said it made a change to get someone really enthusiastic buying the car cause usually folk are like its just a car, but not to me. He said he was really happy that I had got my car after waiting so long.

Its a great feeling eh Kevj? And it will feel a million times better when you pick it up

Question to other CTR owners......does every car have those seat pockets? Just they are on the extras list, i didn't order them, but my car has them!?

Good to here that you picked up your new car. You metioned that it was an 08 model, is there any difference to the 07 model?

Yes mine arrived at the dealers on the 17th, I wonder if they are making them sequential order or not. If so, then from the number of mine, they've made over nine and a half thousand CTR's, I may be wrong but I'll be surprised if they have.

I think she means the ones on the back of the front seats. The ones, in the olden days, before sat nav, where you used to keep your free AA road atlas

Or was that just me

Actually, rear seat equipment is rather poor imnsho.
Seat back pockets, 12V outlet, sweets wraper bin (aka ashtray) and some other goodies would have been nice.

I think it is photo time so that there is no confusion about what we are talking about.

My 5-door I think has a small seat pocket on the back of the passenger seat.
Traditional type of seat pocket.
See interior pic of 5 door with Ivory interior and plant.

There is also an optional seat pocket thingy which hangs on the back of the seat.
Honda pic of this attached.

CTR may be different, (totally different seats) but haven´t been able to find any good rear seat looking forward pictures of the R.

God knows what order they are making them in, seems like a lucky dip with the numbers.

There is no change to the 08 model, but then I had already confirmed that with Honda before.

Apart from having the seat pocket, I went out to wash my car this morning, hosed it down was just about to start washing it when I noticed a sticker on my window advising that my car was protected with diamondbright inside and out! I rang the dealers to ask and the salesman is off this weekend but I was advised that if the sticker is there, then its got it. Guy said they must have added it as a freebie to the car, as if I hadn't got enough lol!

Just great! I spend a small fortune on brand new cleaning products for my pride and joy and they've put that on it! I didn't want it! Grr! Is making the car gleam at the moment tho but i'm just so annoyed and I never noticed the sticker on Friday. Noticed it from inside, but it said something about inspection after 12 months and I thought it was for the service so never bothered to ask although I was going to. I am a silly girl!
