My dealer chucked the badge n stickers in for free without me even having to ask!

I had also heard they have to remove the front bumper to fit the badge - thus making it harder to steel as it is fitted from the back etc.

Personally think the set is a must!

[quote=Charles_Harding;95200]£75 quid to further advertise the R on Honda's behalf?

......I would not call that a deal.

......not from your end anyway!

Personally i think the Type R is under priced that is why i bought:-

Badge kit £75
Red ambient lighting £200
Front and Rear skirts £800
Premium mats £90

still a bargain at £19782 (my Mazda RX8(230) with leather cost £23900 3 years ago, Honda just as fast and has more toys)

Its not the bumper that they have to remove, its the panel above the grill !!! All 5-6 screws, this will give them access to the grill!

I would be happy to have a GT badge to stick on the boot alongside the type S thing.

Picked it up today, -- 2.2 Type S GT, with Sat Nav.

Right guys.......apart from the one reply on the first page has anyone else fitted the front badge themselves?

I am thinking about getting it (will probably stick the decals on ebay seen as I have to get the kit with them). I don't have the biggest hands in the world so thinking that I could probably fit it myself.....even if it means taking stuff off.....I did loads of DIY to my Mini

If you do fit the kit yourself get the kit from Holdcroft Honda as much cheaper as in my last post and if you Ebay the stickers still cheaper again, as for fitting its easy you may break a couple of the plastic clips but they will be pennies to replace, I broke 2 getting them out but there is about 6 so it will stay there even with a couple missing, just watch you dont drop the clips that go on the pegs on the back of the badge youll never see them again

Yeah, I was gonna use Holdcroft if I am gonna get it.

If its only half as difficult to fit as a Mini then I should be alright - once had to replace the whole side and indicator in my Mini which was in the bumper and it was a nightmare, but did it without removing the bumper as my hands managed to fit down the rather small hole provided.

When I get the car I will assess how easy it is going to be before I commit to buying. Thanks for the info re the clips

Had a look at this, but I think that by the time this one has finished up it'll be about £30.00 plus p&p. So i'm guessing that I would be just as well doing what I was gonna. Get the kit from Holdcroft on here then flog the side decals (cause i'm not too keen on them)

Yeah, we could all do that but then you have to have those horrible side decals!

You can't just opt for the badge! Lots of folk want just the badge only and I for one am one of them.

Also, I have seen a Milano Red, NHB & Alabasta Silver with the decals and I have to say that the decals do not stand out on the Milano. Yet even more reason why I do not want them!

Also nobody can see the decals as you pass them, which will be happening a lot! lol!

I know that the decals are nt that big, but I still think that it makes a big difference to the look of the car, here's mine. You are right about not seeing them on a red car!

As per the poll. I dont want the decals end of - Have you had a look at the pics of the red CTRs with the decals as per the one in the link above?

On another note, the badge alone on Ebay is currently at £43.50, so all in so far its £46! Will be interesting to see what it goes for

Well thts wht it went for, just wondering if it was someone off here who bought it......and tbh it really ain't worth paying £43.50 for it, when for an extra £18.00 you could get the decals thrown in too.
