FN2 Brake Discs & Pads

Hey guys,

Does anybody know where to get good brake discs & pads at a reasonable price?

I purchased a new set of rear brake discs & pads last year after being told I needed new ones following a service. I noticed however that after about 2months they were beginning to rust & after just taking my car into the dealership for another service was told I again needed to replace the rear discs and pads that I only put on last year.

Thanks in advance for any advice that is provided!

I had noticed in the last month that the brakes were making a crunching sound when I was braking & the discs are rusted all around the perimeter. I do agree that this doesnt sound right as they should have lasted longer, but was thinking it maybe purely a case of a bad batch of discs and pads.

I think you should ring Honda UK and ask how rear disks can be warn out within one year.
Photos would be good.

discs will rust anyway, its the iron content. thats why the friction part goes rusty when you clean the wheels...

The rear pads are smaller and thinner than front pads, could be someone getting that wrong.

Rust will always happen unfortunately.

That doesn't sound right at all.

I've still got the same discs & pads on my car from October 2008, and only now i need new discs and pads

My car had the rear pads replaced under warranty a couple years ago, so maybe theres a bad batch around as rears should last quite some time

Cheers for the comments. Relic - It wasn't the dealership that provided the discs and pads - I got the off Brakes 4u, but I made sure that I ordered the correct ones. to be honest I think it is mainly the brake pads that need replacing (think the dealership is just trying to con me into replacing the discs at the same time). However I did want to replace the discs as they are covered in rust after a year

Funnily enough I had thought about painting them.
Just came across these online - seems like a good price for all four discs and pads. Does anyone know if these are any good?
