Use what Honda specifies, does the car really need an oil change at 3000 miles????

Using more expensive oil does not make the car run better or make it last longer.

read the owners manual!

at my car (1. the manual says: Don't change the oil till first service!

(because it has special running in additives!)

Take a sample of the oil and have it analysed.
If the TBN/Alkalinity is PH7 or less, then it needs changed - end of story.
As for oil - there's already an oil thread here, where I've put loads of info in, so spend time reading it and seeing what's been said, etc.
