right trying to navigate round this site, first of all I love this site, really really informative, im looking to buy a ctr and wandering if anybody can give me some advice on how to get a 'good' deal, I was told if I could scam some carpets that would be good, but thats unbelievable!

I think they told you right Pete
Honda know what they are selling Why do you think min waiting list is 12weeks..
Unless in the network stored somewhere...
But we tried 4 different dealers in a 25 mile area and ...All the same price apart from varied price on part ex ...
Only other option is possable second hand you can haggle like crazy with that one ...
Expecially preowned cars there are some out there
Autotrader web site and give a few a ring ...
Best laugh we purchased the ctr not from a honda dealer !!
Non franchised dealers have to sell below book market value ...I think!??

Ordered gt+sat nav bluetooth from blackpool honda pick up on sept 1st.

was a cancellation order £19,500 with mats and stickers.

Dont pay list, haggle like hell & walk away if they want the sale they will beb back.

they want the sale, but they know how desperate we are just from looking at threads like these, so they just wont let on!

I think if you get pally with a sales men he may slip up where there is one in the network with added options that the buyer may have cancelled
As jamiec501 has a good bargain on a CTR with sat nav and extras for 19500

Dealers know they can sell basic spec cars but options is to a personal taste and you may find a bargain not very hard to loose...

Or you could try it the im not bothered aproach before the end of the month all dealers have a sales target to reach the bonus package and you could find a deal there ...Maybe the spec you want and added options for free ....

Its just i wanted one now aproach we ended up purchasing second hand with 2k on the clock ....
All in all saved my self a bucket on finance and got the car for 17000...2 mnth old
CTR gt with added carpets ipod and superguard has been done before ...

We did try the im not bothered aproach up here and it did work but the colours not to my liking of vehicle we wanted ....
Buy chance is that we drove past a car just part exed in 2 hrs before at a non Honda dealer and the screen price we haggled on and got rid of the part ex at a decent price in fact what we purchased for a year ago ....
So you have a very good chance of a bargain but its your option of buy that will sustain what .

when i went in i said that i did not want to haggle but give me your best deal or i will go to someone else and no bother about distance .

Saying that Blackpool Honda have been very good to deal with car is sat at dealers covered in plastic waiting for 57 sept 1st

I went to blackpool too, u speak to neil? i just want to car quite badly now and it got the better part of me, i know if i wait even longer just a bit im sure to get more stuff but with the waiting list topping 2 months i just thought honda wont really give a t--- if im not interested

spoke to neil 1st then when i went back in he was off bad leg so sam ended up dealing with me both ok to deal with my ctr gt is outside with wrapper on
