I'll second that. All the things I'd love to do to an FN2 but don't think I'll get them past the Missus.

Oh, there certainly was a trade off! Mrs Stella agreed only if she got a new car first! Thankfully, she prefers practicality over performance and the Kak ticked all the boxes for her. Sort journey's cheep to run, keeps her dry. Bless her.

*UPDATE*

Took my into ABP this morning for them to have a look on the ramps to see if the exhaust system on the type S are the same as on their type R but unfortunaly they are not.

The rear box is the same but the connections to the mid pipe are in a completeley different place and also the CATs are in a totaly different places, so the verdict is that the Milltek exhaust system will NOT fit the 1.8 type S.

Sorry to here that mate. There surely must be some other company doing an exhaust system similar? or are ABP going to make one, now that they've measured yours.

How much would it be if it had fitted??

Question for ABP Motorsport,

What is your upto date list of go faster and suspension goodies for the Type R ?? (FN2)

I'm seriously thinking now of buying the Miltek exhaust. What would you recommend, Resonate or Non-Resonate ??

Drop it down a cog to 2nd however and you shall wake up the neighbours!

Isn't this what having a hot hatch is all about?
My car doesn't look subtle, why should it sound it?

In 6th gear, the exhaust is happiest and quietest at around 90mph.... i guess!!!

But it's by no means bad and as I mainly do A and B roads, it was never really an issue. Hope that helps?
Is it the Resonated or Non-resonated ??

Non resonated Milltek system

The Milltek system we have available is Non resonated only. We tried the resonated system and it was so quiet! This Non resonated system does sound really nice with a nice slightly raspy note, but not too intrusive.

The Milltek non resonated discreet system £495.00 inc VAT

The NEW HKS system £695.00 inc VAT
