They realign the camber and the toe angles of the wheels to a more acurate and even setting so the wheels are running in line / true with each other.
eg. my initial settings were as far out as one front wheel had negative camber and the other front wheel had positive camber. The car naturally was pulling to the left and would eventually wear the tyres, but it wasn't noticable originally.

The result is that the car holds the road better, reducing understeer and oversteer hence the name "Fast Road Geometry Set-up"

I think ABP might post them out but i think you'll need to get a garage that has the proper equipment. Good luck

Its not altered it by much due to the fact that i'm female and already had a cracking deal at 23, 0 no claims and £507. Had to pay an additional £15 for the moment, got a quote for renewal and its not really impacting me going forward as i'm still building my no claims and the price of insurance is still going down.

Factors are, car doesn't really move too much but when it does its a long trip like Monday, I don't use it to and from work. Now 4000 miles in 8 months

Cheers
FRS isn't something that you have to tell the insurance about as your basically amending the car to the specification it should have been in the first place! When you get the readings its quite awful that Honda have min and max specifications but send cars out which are over their recommendations and it can't be altered

I travelled all the way from the other side of Edinburgh and it was originally going to be just for the FRS....It takes a bit of time but its worth the trip

Great Ang,
I haven't had any change on my insurance. They said that the FRS is not classed as a Modification. The exhaust will add about £30 quid onto my insurance so i'll be getting it done later in the year after the holidays are out of the way.

Insurance currently £405 a year with esure

Yeah the FRS isn't classed as a mod (and we're paying to fix something that shouldn't have been like that in the first place) but the splitters and the exhaust caused the wee rise at the moment.

You really need to send a PM to ABP Motorsport and they should reply to you personally. Hope you get the answer you're looking for

Best advice there, they do ship things out to folk (I saw them do this while I was there) so it will just have to be a wait and see thing.

I was considering the decat for the car but I just can't be bothered with the removal before its MOT. My mate has suggested that if fitted take back to ABP for its MOT and get them to remove then refit the decat pipe.

Dave, whats the deal with the decat pipe with regards to fitting, removal, mot etc?

Oh and how cute is that little text message you guys send the following day

It's called "great customer service".or "pride in the Job"

Alot more garages and dealers need to learn from them.
Keep up the good work ABP......

Right, I want this done! my dad is a technician and has the machine to realign cambers and steering geometry etc.

So what parts exactly are needed if any? My dad thinks this is alot of money. Are the original Camber bolts adjustable?

Also where can the manufactuers suggested settings be found???

Firstly its not a lot of money as its not a quick job really. The original camber bolts are not adjustable hence why you need them at £35 a pair.

The whole thing takes time because it has to be set up front and rear, the original settings reading taken so they know what to adjust and by how much. They then have to remove the front wheels, take out the old camber bolts, fit the new ones, adjust them, do the tracking, alignment, toe check the readings, road test it then give you back your car in a much better state than when you took it to them.

Yes. I only had it done almost 2 weeks ago. However I really liked the guys at ABP and I am visiting them again soon (thats if Dave got my e-mail) and I don't really want to p*ss them off by giving out info that they probably wouldn't thank me for.

Tried to fit a StopTech 4-pot kit but no joy - The floating disc is hard against the ball joint so no 4-pot kits for now......... We then trial fitted the PowerSlot 350mm front big-disc conversion kit and this fits great (with a little mod or 2) and fills the 18" wheel really well. If you have the 19" rages you need this kit to stop your brakes looking so ridiculously small! The kit not only looks great but being 50mm larger in diameter and grooved offers far better braking ability with improved cooling and reduced brake fade which can be an issue on sustained hard fast-road use. Not anymore Click the image to open in full size. . The brakes are now far better even using the standard Honda pads. We will be trying some pad options over the next few weeks and will keep you all posted.
PowerSlot front 350mm big-disc brake conversion kit (includes pair of 350mm grooved discs, caliper relocation brackets and fitting kit) is £375 inc vat with an additional £90 fitting charge if required.
