I can see what your saying a 3 year old car with 6k on might well have spent that entire 6k getting ragged at weekends whereas a 36k example probably spent all its time commuting and maybe just 2k of that was getting ragged

Not that CTR's aren't made to be ragged

I think it's more the fact that if it's only used for trips to the shop, the engine will not have a chance to warm up.

Mine is 33K on a 08 plate when I purchased it nearly 2 yrs ago it had done 16K on the clock!!!

07 plate, 38k....bought it nearly a year ago with 36k on it....it had "big" service when i got it as well which was a relief ( cost em over a £1.5k as they did 3rd gear sync at the same time!!!)....surprisingly i use it regularly, just haven't done many big journeys recently.
