im no photography expert but given the speed the car is allegedly travelling...and the fact that its probably a long exposure due to the low light conditions.....wouldnt the white lines....and lights outside be a bit more blurred

having said that...maybe its genuine

I did 239kph in Germany. That's already 4kph above what Honda claims it wil do (235kph). The pedal was floored, but it still seemed to be speeding up. Thought it was best to start slowing down for the truck coming up in the distance

So it'll probably do more then 240kph. But unless you do a 2nd calibrated measurement, you won't know if it really is 240kph.

Not very exciting anyway. I'll trade in 20kph at the top end for double-wishbone suspension or a rear-wiper

Hi Zorlac

I am sure you did your speed test on a private test track / circuit or runway, as it would be highly illegal and irresponsible to do such a speed on a public road (even an autobhan!).

Out of curiosity a few questions:
- Did you have a strong tailwind or was the run going downhill ?
- The CTR redline is at 8000 rpm , so I presume rev limiter is 8500rpm that you refer to ?
- How did your passenger take the photo that came out so clear for a night time shot ? It doesn't look like a flash was used as the dash is not lit up.
- What was stability like at that incredible speed ?

In Portugal we don't have access to private test tracks so we use highways when there is no traffic! it's illegal and we are not proud of it!

They're keeping you busy here pottsy
I know I don't have a CTR (it wasn't out here when I got mine) but I wanted to weigh in
About 2 months after I got my car I had to go over to our european hq in germany so decided to drive instead of fly and test out the 1.8 (little did work know why I wanted to do that )

Got her up to 214km/h (just under 133mph), not bad seeing as the manual says 200km/h is top speed (btw that was speedo, and I know my GPS reads 6-8km/h less at 160). She had more in her but would have taken a while and yes, it was slightly downhill all the way, and no extra weight/people, but still I was happy with that.

One of the lads in work with the same car has said he's got it up to 224km/h and it was maxed, no more juice out of it. Dunno where he did that though, I hope not here.
