Ouch! It drives you nuts when something like this happens. Hopefully you'll get your pocket rocket back soon.

You are aware that you're entitled to a car of equal standing from the other parties insurance when it's not your fault.

Phil.
Do you mean as a courtesy car?
I'm not sure about that here in SA, but I'll check it out.
Thanks Philip.

PS: I think a lot of my car, does that mean I'm entitled to a Porsche 911 Turbo.

To be honest I've no idea about SA. Best to check with your insurer. When I had a crash a really really really good few years back (rear ended) I was offered a Ford Fiesta from the garage. Laughed at them (I'm 6'8") and went out and hired a Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 and claimed it back against the other driver. I had a Rover 216 GSI at the time. The only problem was that I had to pay for it upfront and claim it back.

So many people I know that've had accidents and just put up with the car they're given. The garage claim a fortune back off the other guys insurance company.

Phil.

Guess what everyone......?????

I got my car back today. Click the image to open in full size. Click the image to open in full size. Click the image to open in full size.

Fetched it at 5:30pm just as they were closing. I was very nervous that I'd notice something different in the way it drives, but as I gunned it down the nearest open road I could find, my mind was put at ease. The thing still goes like a rocket, and maybe even sounds a little better Click the image to open in full size. . OK maybe that last comment is due to the fact that I was on a non-voluntary V-TEC diet the last 6 weeks.

Anyway elations aside, I noticed a few things which are bugging me a bit. A few of the panel gaps are not 100% perfect and one of the panels actually sticks out a little Click the image to open in full size. . At least its minor though and far better than it could be. I suppose things don't fit perfect second time round. Then I noticed something which I am really P*ssed off about. During their stripping of one of the mirrors it looks as if someone stuck a screwdriver into my door and damaged the plastic near the top, front right speaker Click the image to open in full size.. I'll definitely be visiting them for an explanation very soon. Can't believe what they've done. I'll post pics soon to show you guys.

To end on a good note though, the guys at the "beaters" did describe the car as a "thorough bred" after testing it, and said they have never seen such a well made/put together car, shotto Swindon people Click the image to open in full size. .

I'm so happy....

Cheers

Hello Bravo!

I'm soo happy for you!
Fantastic good news.
Wish you and your great car all the best!
Let's just hope they sort out the door plastic damage/panel fit as well, without questioning it.

Thanks guys, I am really very happy with how the car has been fixed. I'd say about 99%, I'll get the other 1% sorted on Monday.

Cheers all, have a good weekend.

Finally back in action...

Great to hear it's back in 99% shape.

When they fixed mine, I also found 1% of little things they did wrong. Very minor things though.
