Bye bye rotrex :( it's been good ;)

Well the time has come to let the rotrex go to another good home this has been one seriously good piece of kit for me with a lot of pleasure showing up these so called high end sports car but the little devil in my ear ( dezi ) keeps calling turbo turbo !! So I have succumbed to the call of the screamer pipes & bov the beast is sleeping gently at TDI where she is getting another transplant & she will be alive & screaming next week either the 28th or 29th had one last blast at TDI with another member swalesy ( Mathew ) he asked for a ride so I duely obliged ill let Mathew tell his side so took one last picture of the beast of a rotrex before I headed back home to await the transformation car parked up ready to be transformed !!!

Was good speaking to you again Mark, hope your journey home was uneventful.

I must be honest I've never been that interested in FI on an FN2, but I am 100% converted now! The Ginger Beast was just simply awesome with it's Rotrex set up! What stood out most for me (apart from the brutal acceleration) was the rate at which it gained speed seemed to keep rising, and never let off until the limiter.

I remember thinking when at about 5000rpm, ***** this thing is quick, then at 6000rpm being pleasantly shocked that it was pinning me back to the seat so much more now, then as we approached 7000rpm I didn't think it would get much more rapid, but WOW! It certainly did, and then 8000rpm even more than that! The point I'm making is that it pulls hard, then pulls some more, then more, then a little more, and then just as you think it's about to stop, it pulls even more. I found it seriously exciting and also hugely impressive! What a car!

Shame it was wet as it occasionally would spin up the wheels and leave us not really moving, while bouncing off the limiter, but then again the noise it made meant this was just the coolest thing ever!

I can happily say I want a Rotrex next year, and I'm serious about getting one now

Next mod will be an LSD when the synchros get sorted, which shouldn't be long now as I bought them last night while drunk at 2am, didn't know until I woke to emails from PayPal After that then who knows, but I'm now putting money into my Rotrex fund

FrankstaH, you're going to seriously fall in love with this you may need brakes and LSD though...

I'll hopefully see everyone at TDi North next Saturday, and for another ride out in your car Mark, of course with the turbo in I mentioned it to my Mum and she wants to come next week as well now LMAO

Also, was I the last person to put the pedal to the floor in your car while it was supercharged?

Thanks for the great independent review Mathew good meeting you again yesterday it seems everytime I do see you there my car is getting another transformation but unfortunately Ben was the last one to give her some stick when he dropped me of at the train station !! When I got in the station all I could hear was my giving it some & thought that sounds soooo sweet & that's what it sounds like from the outside when you give it some beans it made me smile yeah your more than welcome for another spin in her next week no problem & bring your mam along I'm sure she will enjoy it seeing the boys with there toys hahaha
