2015 CTR - How much will it cost?
So, I already have my heart set on one...
Despite the fact it will no longer be NA, so long as it still revs high and freely, and looks good, I am hoping this will be my next car (the missus still needs persuading yet though). However, with what Honda are aiming for, are some of us going to be priced out of the equation? I now have a daughter to care for so I have to carefully think about finances. I can't see the new CTR coming in under £25K if I'm honest, if it's going to be the fastest front wheel driver car round the Nurburgring I can see it being the wrong side of £30K. I think I'll be lucky to get close to £20K for my next car so I can't see that I'll be able to afford one... Having said that, if I wait until 2015 I'll have had this one for 7 years so it's not too bad looking at it that way. I know it's only speculation but what does everyone else think? |

I think it will be changed to 'we meant the fastest every day practical family car around the NBR.'
Which I reckon will come in at £26k. I doubt I will get one though, I am waiting for the BRZ STI. |

Its far too early to have a clue, with green issues they will not price it based on large sales to ammortise the development costs across many units, I expect it to be on par with golf R version prices rather than ford ST prices!
In short it will be made but its hard to see many selling when potential owners take in the cost of "being the fastest"! |

Just buy a second hand one and let you someone else take the depreciation. Look at the Megan rs, over 26k one at a dealers with 3k on the clock for 20k

The 8th gen type R was about 5k cheaper than the top spec'ed 8th gens when it first came out ........
So thinking that it'll be the most expensive 9th gen might be wrong |

It will be the only turbo one. So if it is cheaper then it perhaps won't be as much as previous versions have been.

No one got a contact at Honda UK.
Would be nice to get them involved in the site. I would suggest a group buy of the first 500 models members on here can put there name down for |

If it's nudging £30k, it puts it into competition with the BMW in this vid.
Will it really be comparable to the BMW with 320bhp, 35 mpg combined, 5.1 seconds to 62? I personally think it will have to be well under £30k. |

2015 puts it in 3yr time and if the mrs gets her way i will be keeping my FN2 till 2017 so puts me in a good place for a second hand one.
however the toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ would be another choice if its as practical as my current civic. |
