struggle to hit 5th gear properly

I really struggled to get the car into 5th gear consitantly for the first 1000 miles. Kept missing the change and had to kinda force it in. It has loosened up and is no problem now though. I also noticed that if i was sitting in the car with the engine off its impossible to put it in 5th...not sure why.

Anybody else have same experience???

Hi there I would let the dealer know about it so that the fault is recorded in case of any further problems you might also want to try and get them to drop the oil out just to see if theres any swarf present.Being 5th gear I would suspect thats a g/box fault or possibly gear linkage as opposed to a clutch fault.

My gearbox has the best change I have experienced in any car, even from cold. Hopefully it will stay that way. As cgsuk says, it would be a good idea to let the dealer check yours out.
