It does tell you in the manual to keep the clutch pedal down when starting the car, this should help with starting the engine. I always keep the red button pressed until the car fires up, have nt had a problem so far! Remember NOT to press the gas pedal during starting too!
It does sound like that you have a problem if it keeps failing to start first time. On diesels you need to warm up the glow plugs before the engine can fire up, but saying that on new cars these days they work instantly. I had to wait 2-3 seconds for the light to go out on my previous car (306). |
