Parking sensors are an option in Belgium at least (cost around 390 Euro)

But for 2008, the sliding mechanism of the front seats have been revised (without changing the function So still no memory )

On the Belgium spec Type R, Xenon lights are std (didn't i read here it was an option?)

why is it that angie has been making comments since last september claiming to have a type R 07, and now she says she has the 2008 Type R? I remember reading a thread and she had an R a few months back...

Edit (Pottsy) Please refrain from personal attacks.

Drove a 2007 (April car) and mine around Donnington yesterday, and I know that

1. I might be favoring my car
2. Mine has newer suspension so less worn
3. Mine has newer tyres so less worn

But, the back end was not as loose going into some of the hard breaking corners like the old hairpin and Redgate/Hollywood on my Type R compaired to my friends 07 car.

Mine (an 08 CTR GT) def felt more planted. I wonder if they have changed the geometry on the suspension at all?

I have a 2008 model Type R GT which I picked up at the very end of October 2007 (ordered in July 2007).

Edit (Pottsy) personal insults removed, in accordance with the forum rules.

Comments from me on the front page of this thread are from November 2007. I strongly suggest that the person making me out to be a lair goes and gets themselves an eye test.

I didn't realise that you couldn't sign up or use this site before you actually had the car keys in your hand?!?!?!?!?!

The "model year" comes out before the end of the actual year. The 09MY car will be available in around Oct 08.

You can easily check which MY car you have by looking at the VIN in the windscreen.

Thank you for this confirmation Pottsy, but I was correct in thinking that the person in question had not read my posts correctly and thought that as I happen to know a few people who have CTR's (i.e the one I mention on the first page (R00245 which belongs to a Siemens engineer from my Dad's work, which has been mentioned in other posts before) that I was referring to the fact that I had had a 07 MY07 car and a 57 MY08 car, when infact past posts confirm that on 26 Ocotber 2007 I picked up MY MY08 CTR GT in Milano Red.

I wouldn't like to see what f.ss.t has to say to Milano John who has had 2 CTR's due to issues with the first one!

The guys on here, who use this forum on a very regular basis know what I'm like and I would have thought that someone who claims to be a 'lawyer' in past posts would know that what they said could be taken as slander.

Me and others on this forum generally research other memebers past posts before they make any further comment on something they don't think agrees.

You called!

Whats up then?

What numbers on the VIN give the MY away?

Discussion should NEVER be personalised and the most trenchant argument is diminished by it.

This excellent site is mainly free of it and it would be a a really good thing if that's the way it remains.

I am quite interested as the 2008 spec Galaxy Grey I had on order for December can now not be delivered until Jan 31st. All they can offer for Dec is a Champagne Silver 2007 model that is from stock at a dealer.

MY wife did not want a silver car - he said it looks more gold, although I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not!
Anyway back onto topic! Are parking sensors standard on every new civic then??

Parking sensors are std on the MY08 EX only - all other models its an option.

Honda parking sensors, if fitted at time of delivery will be covered by the manufacturers warranty - if retro fitted or non handa approved, they wont be.
