5th Gear new civic review

Just seen the review of the new gen civic on 5th gear and unfortunately I agreed with every word he said. I've always been a true Honda man including their bikes. But I am very disappointed with the latest generation of the Civic... and for that reason,... I'm out.

I just watched it and i agree!
When fifth gear reviewed the 8th gen they say this would break the mould, they also say Honda and their previous Civics were too dull.... looks like business as usual for 9th gen

I'm amazed at how many people are willing to discount something they've never driven on the basis of programs created for the purpose of entertainment.

I think you'd get a better car review from Bodger and Badger.

i really don't understand why people are reacting so badly to the new Civic - I still think it looks different enough compared to a Golf, Focus etc...

Just needs a decent set of alloys !

How dare you. That is Lee Pickering. He looks a little bit like Vin Diesel, but he's not as strong.

He may occasionally struggle opening doors in windy conditions, and he may well be a bit flabby around the middle, but he most certainly does not sing out of tune.

+1

I'm looking forward to the softer suspension and better interior feel

Watched in myself last night and wasnt overly impressed but will wait and see what the sportier versions are going to be like, didnt agree with him saying the big rev counter in the middle and the speed above it would be confusing?!?!?! But loved the current Civic isnt it like that now Johnny you tool?!?!
To busy trying to come up with clarkson style one liners!

Yep watched it last night, like others not too impressed with the 9th gen. Probably will get use to it, but dont like the black bit on front bumper would look better colour coded!

Also not too keen on rear end, exhaust triangles have gone! Don't like rear lights, why the rear wiper and shark fin ???

Interior/cabin was not too bad tho...

I think they were a bit optimistic when they set the prices.
