Reply to marzyniu,

I had to change the rims to oz with et35. I was thinking about spacers about 20mm thick but I want to make more then 200 KM from my 2.2 i-cdti that's why I bought the rimes.

In general i dont understand this fuzz about the brakes, i had to make some emergency stops with this car and it has never let me down, at traffic lights i just brake on the engine as long as i can.
As someone said before, it could be helpfull when doing trackdays but still...
The standard brakes are SURELY good enough for daily use.
Is your's the petrol?Yes I agree they do their job and they are adequate, but if I were given a choice I would prefere a little more initial bite and feel through the pedal (diesel Type S)

But if you have got more power in the diesel like 180-200 BHP, the stock breaks are useless when breaking from higher speeds... Big break kits have got their disadvantages but I think it's the best possible idea for maintaining safety...

1) brake, not break 2) upgrading your engine will allow you to accelerate faster, but you are still obliged to keep to the legal speed limits so kind of a worrying post, unless your talking about a trackday but i sincerely doubt that

Might not be relevent with Hondas, but the reason I enquired whether petrol or diesel is that historically petrol cars employed a vacuum servo unit served by the inlet manifold to give powered assistance to the brake pedal.

Diesel cars do'nt have the same inlet manifold and have(had) to rely on a seperate vacuum pump to assist the brake pedal.

This may result in a different brake performance and feel between 1.8's and 2.2's ??

Anyone has any idea if our Model allows any upgrades?
What abt from Brembo?
Hi there
I'm using ALCON 4-pot and they work superbly. Bites better than Brembo and the biting point is always constant whether on normal roads or in Sepang.

you can get it from maximus racing. Welcome To Maximus Racing

Look for James and say Gerard recommended you. he should be able to give u a slightly better price

I think, if you upgrade the rotor as well, won't have much problem.
Example, You change to Spoon calipers and also get spoon 300mm rotor.

Spoon calipers are hard to come by in Singapore. They're not cheap either

I have got D2 brakes there ware cheap and I'm driving with them for 5000 km. They are excellent that's why I want agree with you all. There is only one problem with them the costs of braking pads. You should change them to ferodo pads and they aren't cheep. The problem is serious because they last only for 5000 km -7000 km but it would be so with all such breaks.
