Anti roll bars

I aim to buy a coilover suspension (maybe KW Variant 2...) but I would like to replace my stock anti roll bars with the type R ones (especially the rear from 11mm to 13mm. It feels great!!) Does anyone have such an experience concerning our civics??? Is it possible??? Also aftermarket solutions are acceptable if they exist....

Is it different?? Both cars have the same beam i think and the difference exists on stiffer shocks and anti roll bars...

That;s what I know too!!! Between type S and type R the only difference is diameter of antirolls, springs and shock absorbers. The suspesnion architecture is SAME!! (only 3 doors)

You're right - asked my dealer several weeks ago and told the suspensions are pretty similar. Type S and R are not so different as it may seem

I think not, as the Type R has the 3rd gear problem also found on some US Civics, but not the other Euro-Civics.

Type-S definately has a 20mm wider rear track than the 5-door. Don't know about the suspension set up though.

I am also certain than Type R & S share the same suspension design and dimensions (except springs, shocks and anti roll bar/bushings).

What I don't know and I'd like to have a quote is whether the type R has some chassis/suspension reinforcements (additional frames/bridges etc.)

Tongue firmly in cheek

EVO raved about the Type S chassis and complained about the Type R
