That's fine assuming you have been using the brakes hard. But it could be a symptom of brakes binding.
If you can, go for a drive and don't use the brakes - just slow with the gears. It doesn't have to be a long drive. If possible, stop on your drive using just the handbrake. If the front discs are hot - then you need to go to your dealer! |

The other thing you could try is let the handbrake off on a level piece of ground in a car park for instance and from the outside of the car should be fairly easy to push the car. if it feels hard or there is a grinding noise you probably have a binding brake caused by a piston not retracting properly after you've applied the brakes.
What you descibed after 20 mins doesn't sound right despite what dealer said. i am not a Honda mechanic but served time as a Ford apprentice mechanic 35 years ago. Dave |

Or jack up the front wheels (one at a time of course) and see if they rotate freely by hand. With just the hand brake applied, there should be very little resistance on the front.
It could be that you brake very hard when driving, heating up the discs so much.... |

Well, I went out tonight for a drive and did some serious to-the-limit driving round some quiet lanes (keeping to the NSL of course), for about 15-20 minutes (this will usually heat them up sufficiently if breaking for bends etc.). And mine were when I pulled over, not too hot, although they had been well used. I would suggest yours is binding somewhere, BTW is it all disc heating or just one??? If it's just one (spit on them and see if it hisses), then it is binding, if all 4 possibly a VSA problem.
