Buy your pads online ebc pads that i have red ceramic on front and green on rear are fantastic. just take them to a backstreet garage and they will fit them cheap. watching the guy struggle like hell changing the rears with the correct tools resetters etc made me thankful for not trying and he explained that poor fitting would cause the calipers to seize up megabucks me thinks.

what sort of winding tool did you use? Can you use a G clamp to wind it back or should I buy a winding tool. If so any ideas on what type and where to get one from? I guess it would still be cheaper than paying £85 at dealers. Thanks |

About winding the piston back, I see adverts for windback tools specifically for cars with ABS brakes which claim to avoid the possibility of damage caused by forcing the fluid backwards. I know nothing more about this, maybe someone can explain.

hmmm I wonder if there are valves on the brake line on ABS models but I guess if you open the bleed screw at the caliper you shouldnt have a problem pushing back the cylinder as the oil would just flow out the bleed crew and not go up the line. Anyone with experiance of this? |
