Painting the "R" red

Does someone have a picture of the "R" on the callipers painted red. Can't seem to locate the picture anywhere. The poster also painted the "Type" black. Not going to paint the full calliper just the lettering as this will make it look abit special.

You may wish to paint them silver again then with Caliper paint as the Calipers can look a bit naf after a wee while especially if the car is kept outside. Would be a shame to just paint the letters and the rest of it going a bit yuk

Well found Ange.
Ive been looking for that.
You MUST paint the caliper first or it will go grey/black and defeat the object
I used Hammerite but i was after the 'gold' look.
In your case high temperature silver or Silver smooth Hammerite

Hi THP in my opinion its abit over kill when the car is red. The subtle red R sets it off nicely in my opinion i was tempted to paint the word "type" in black but hey.............. indivudalism thats what it is all about

I don't know if I should A) Paint the calipers fully - there has been talk of seized Callipers on here and you know if you paint them and they f up at Honda won't replace under warranty and B) if I do I was thinking of paining them Yellow

The caliper will not stay that silvery colour for long. You will need to paint the whole caliper eventually

Very nice indeed!
I deifnitly think painting just the 'Type-R' or the 'R' looks alot better!
Good Job!!

And what difference will that make? If you mod the caliper with caliper paint (and why you wouldn't use caliper paint is beyond me) and the caliper does sieze (like it has on others on this site) then I know that Honda would turn round and say that you have modifyed the caliper by painting it, hence the warranty on that part is void and your left shelling out for a new one!

I don't expect to have this heppen but you can never say never and we all know that if a dealer can get out of a warranty claim then they will!
