Tyres..What do you recommend..?

Hi fellow Civi friends.. It's that dreaded time again and I'm needing tyres for ma Civic...

I've still got the original Michies on front and rear now done 25,000 but down to the limit markers so need to change em.. So what do you recommend..?

Michies were good but pricey...

I was on Blackcircles.com and they recommend the Toyo Proxes T1-R 225/45 R17 Y for 360 quid fitted for 4.

Kind thoughts please..

A friend of mine has these fitted to his Jag and he is very impressed with them, he is not exactly a sedate driver, so if he thinks they hold the road well then you can be sure they do.

I used to think Michelin Pilot Sport were the Muts Nuts BUT

The new Pilot Sport 2 seem to have scarified grip and longevity for refinement.

Everybody I know is raving about Goodyear Eagle F1's (however a very good tyre centre beside me says if you change to them do all 4 as they dont mix well with existing Pilot Sport)

Toyo Proxes I found on my old Golf very good in the dry but it made the car very nervous in the wet (just my opinion )

When I need to change my tyres I'll go for the Goodyear Assymetric or the Continental ContiSport3. All the reviews I've read and heard leads to these tyres above.
The Toyo is a very good tyre (a friend of mine has it in the last model Civic) but it has short lifetime.

Hi Folks....

Thanks for your replies. I'm not going to change them till end of month so going to shop around and read a few more reviews before making a decision.

Conti 3 Sport has a good review along with the Goodyears.

Cheers,
Al

worth a punt...

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta... a very close second to the Goodyear F1 in most recent tests.

The bees knees and you should be able to pick them up for about £90.00 a corner... well worth a try IMHO.
