Honda TRK V Tyreweld?

I had my first punture yesterday in all my years of driving. Although the hole was about 20mm, the Honda TRK bottle of gunk solved the problem. I was actually due to change the tyres this week (to Goodyear Eagle F1A's based on opinions on here), so I'm not that annoyed about the puncture.

A replacement bottle is £44.61 which seems a lot, whereas Tyreweld or similar is about £7 a can.

Do they do the same job? I don't want to get a spare as I like the added boot space and the TRK kit proved the principle works well.

I have had the same tyre problem today, I did find the whole procedure a nightmare especially as I was on the side of the motorway! Tyreweld would seem to a better idea am also interested to see if anyone has used it?

I do hope you didn't attempt to repair the tyre at the side of the motorway! This should be avoided at all costs as you put yourself in danger.

You have free membership to Hondacare so you should have called them.

We all know you shouldn't but faced with up to an hours wait sometimes it is tempting to DIY.

I know an hour v the rest of your natural is cheap but I would probably have a go myself as well. Especially if was a nearside puncture.

I reckon your tyres knew they were destined for the scrapheap and fought back

Well technically it was the A4 not M4 but still trucks going past at 60mph! Surely Hondacare would be finished after one year? I have RAC but to be honest I wanted to get out of there.
