All alloys are not born equal. Plus the cost to upgrade depends what you're upgrading from.

But still, the 18" are way overprised. In Holland you pay 2800 euro!!! If you upgrade from the 17" you will pay 1800 euro(over 1200 pounds) including new tyres. But some alloys are so beautifull, you just have to buy it. But it would have been a lot cheaper to buy them in the UK I see.

Thats on the assumption the dealer will part ex your old alloys, some won't.

that's weird, my dealer said i could go from 17 to 18 and pay only 900 euro, and that's including new tires and everything

AfterMarket Brands - Looks nicer (If you do your research on nice ones), Cheaper.

Honda OEM, is stupid price.

It probably depends on the dealer.
The 17" storms cost about €2200, my dealer could deliver them for €400 if I left the stock wheels, and if I bought my car at that dealer he would even give the storms for free, so my upgrade from stock to 17" storms was free..

No they don't

Honda's alloys are designed for Honda's

Aftermarket ones can be fitted to any car in the world
and may look naff (imagine - just having washed your pride and joy
and you are standing there admiring alloys when somebody in their
ford escort comes along with the same wheels -aaaaarrrrg)
I feel some aftermarket alloys are common ( and before you say it yes you will more that likely see your alloys on another Honda - which is fine
cause it's a Honda)

With your price you got to play with, that's why you go for the more 'Up-Market' Brands, such as Kahns, etc.. Not the cheapy alloy brands like most boy racers have such as TSW, OZ etc..

Check out some:
Dubs
G-avani's (SP)?

etc..

I choose to ignore this, although I have been ripped of. The list price is 2800 euro's so you have made a nice deal. Is yours also a company car?
Don't tell, let me believe it is not. That can be the explanation then, and I keep on enjoying my storms.

Hm. Lucky you!! I would have had to pay about € 400 only for changing the standard alloys. As I did not have any more left for spending it on my leasecar I kept the standard alloys which I also find great.

I totally agree. I haven't seen any aftermarket alloys that look good on a Civic....yet.

Just picked a brand new altimo alloy up today £181, luckily honda will be sending me the money back for it...theyve made a boob though, they asked me to pay and they would reimburse(is that spelt right) me back, the thing is thats the retail price and im sure they can get the alloy a lot cheaper at cost...
