PCD, offset, etc

Hi there

Had a quick hunt round this forum but couldn't find the PCD and offset values for the wheels for those of us looking for aftermarket jobbies. Any help?

eh? +55?

Are we 5/114.3 or 5/100, or what?

Yea, offset +55 and PDC 5x114,3
This have been discussed at many threads allready, it is same specs in type-r than at normal 5 door or type-s versions.

Why to start new threads about same issues, please use search.

previous references to 'offset' :

Civic's Wheels Spacing!?! 5 Studs! (answer by Juuzi01)

OZ Superleggera 18" (answer by Juuzi01)

Civic Type S on 18" Blades (although that one is saying that offset is unknown, so doesn't help much!)

please help me find these wheels (answer by Eutai)

which is the total relevant post from the 26 threads that search came back with

Hmm. I promise I did search: I searched for PCD (found nothing) and also for 'aftermarket wheels' (found 11 threads, none contained the sizes), and 'alloy size' (12 threads, none contained sizes)

Interestingly PCD (not PDC ) *still* comes up as 'nothing found' even though I've mentioned it in this thread.

Where this is from? Original offset is 55 , double checked with dealer many times. Also offset 55 is marked to original alloys.

Original widht of wheel is 7" if you increase width to 7,5 - 8" you need to change offset aswell from 55 to 45-50.
What I don't know is that what is actually lowest or highest offset what can be fitted under our civs.

Information from some Finnish wheel dealer's Web-site:
(Sorry, just the values here, I'm not able to properly translate the terms).
- 16"-20"
- 5x114.3
- 12x1.5m
- Minimum 45, maximum 55, original 55
- 64.1

EDIT: here's the link: http://www.nettivanne.fi/applicabili...l=2126&page=93

search function doesn't work too well with 'words' of 3 letters or less - primarily to stop the database from going into complete melt down when it finds 3 million occurances of the word.

this is a common trick by after market alloy wheel places - they will sell wheels with the lowest possible offset so that they stand further out towards the wheel arch and "appear" larger.

There is a good wheel offset calculator, which tells you how it affects the car.

http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html

Can anyone tell me what width the new Type R 18" wheels are presuming there are still a 55 offset

Guys what are the sizes for civic 1.8, 5d, are my values correct? will they all fit the car?
225/55 R17
235/50 R17
245/45 R17

235/45 R18
225/50 R18
5 bolts, 114,3.
should R17 be 17x7,5 or it can be 17x7 ? whats the difference
and what R18 should be? 18x7,5 or 18x7?

The original offset is +55, but you can vary a bit from this.
