18" storms on new 07 ES 2.2CTDI
HELLO THERE .
firstly this is my first post & i would like to say a great hello to all. and a very nice site it is and i know i will use alot over time with my new civic when i get it /kind to allow me as a member thank you. anyway? just about to get delivery of my new civic on the 29th march waiting on the leathers . we wanted better wheels 18" storms /we where told by the sales guy we couldent have them and we could only go 17" on the ES so we went for the penta .strange as we paid an extra £650 dont know the price diff against the storms. can light be shed on this please as i would love to have had the storms. and is it to late at this stage to ask them to change the speck if he has made a mistake. dont think the car is in the branch yet. please help thank you chris redpath -----new member |

Hi Chris and Welcome!
Think he was right! you can only get 18"s on a car that comes with 17"s as standard. I think there is a slight change to the suspension setup done in the factory. Pitty because Storms are just great |

thank you very for the quick reply .
thats a shame oh well-will still love the car with the penta wheels. if i put wheel barrow wheels on my civic it would still look great ? TAKE CARE BUDDIE |

If you change from 17 to 18 there is no problem ,you dont have to modify anything on your suspension as long as your wheel's diameter remains the same. So you have to decrease from 45 to 40 at the height of the tyre.

You can also get 17" Storms if you ask you Honda dealer nicely. They were originally for Eire + EU, but they have got a ref no. so could be ordered in. Only 7 months late!
