Thumbs down New Disc's, pads and calipers

I was coming down the moterway over the weekend, When I heard this very load screeching noise coming from the near side front wheel. I pulled over and had a quick check and the discs were glowing red. I let them cool down and started moving again and the sound had stopped.

I carried on drivering and went to my local garage who said the calapers had been rubbing against the disc, and the pads were worn down to the metal.

The car had only been serviced 4000miles ago and I had asked them to look at the brakes then, as under heavy braking the car would pull to the left or the right. They had said there was no problems and the pads had 45% remaining. I am now waiting on the parts to arrive from honda as they don't stock the required bits.

Oh that's not good. Are you going to have a word with the garage who serviced it?

I will be, when I get it back. Having to driver around in a 1.6 astra at the minute, its surprising nippy when you get the revs up..
