rusty locking wheel nuts

has any one noticed if there locking wheel nuts are going rusty? cleaned my wheels tonight and ive got a rusty locking wheel nut, and ive noticed another is going the same way.

any one else got this problem?

locking wheel nuts

Hi Gray 52 i had the same thing with all 4 had them replaced under the warranty so am keeping an eye on these to see how they go

Just typical I now have rusting locking wheel nuts and one of them is extremely bad - its a joke how many stupid things with this car

i never got mine done on warrenty, as they said they will only go like it again next year!!!!

Great !!

Well you should get them anyway an put them on when you want to sell it.

Think I will leave my car covered in dirt at least that way it doesnt highlight rusty nuts on super clean wheels

Try putting a bit of waxoyl on your nuts (wheel nuts ) to stop corrosion. I think you can still get it in an aerosol.

I have had a can in the garage for years, bought for an old triumph restoration where everything is prone to rusting ! It is great for coating rust prone bits and pieces in the engine bay etc.

I would go along with that. I have a can tucked away in the garage. Good stuff and it leaves an almost invisible film on the metal/chrome surface.
