That's your rear shocks, mine did this and took it back Honda and they fitted new rear shocks as it was a recall

Is this deffo a recall?
My nearside rear has started doing this over the last couple of weeks.
I done a search and the info was a bit conflicting with some dealers saying it is and some not.

Mine started about a week after owning the car, so read up on it and spoke to the garage I brought car from and they didn't know what problem was so I rang Honda uk and explained to them and they were aware of the problem and it was a recall of sort basically it wasn't an official recall where every car on a certain year was recalled has Honda said it wasn't dangerous etc just an annoying noise bit like the type r clutch squarking when cold, but if the customer complains about it then they will fix the problem. So I went back to my garage told them and in the end had the rear shocks replaced and they also said they made a modification on the exhaust brackets. Not had the problem since and didn't cost me anything.

The attached service bulletin may help. I tried to find the original thread I got it from, but no luck.

I had this done a month or so ago and not had a creak since.

nice 1 cheers, do you need the yellow tube or do you think a quick rub with grease in the general aread would work ?

No problem.

The yellow jig is for getting the grease up in between the damper and dust cover. I presume that if you apply the grease lower down it won't help.

Fortunately my warranty hasn't expired yet so just had the dealer I purchased the car from do the work.

In your case I would at least ask at your local dealer; it really shouldn't be more than a 30 minute job for them. It would save you the hassle without costing the Earth.
