Before I got my car, I contacted Honda and I told them I was not happy about not having a spare in the car because the wife does a lot of long journeys and I was not happy about her trying to repair the tyre by the side of the road so they sent me a spacesaver free!

If you don't get it free, as some have on this forum! Most people have paid between £70 and £120 at their dealers.

Just a thought, but when the members here are about to part exchange maybe they could offer the spare to someone here at a reduced price?

I'm sure the dealers won't check beforehand whether there is a spare or not.

After all, it's not standard and you did (maybe) pay for it.

I paid £99 which i thought was expensive at first but if you buy the spare you get a net that stops stuff rolling around in your boot.

The most important thing to me was i prefer to spend £99 rather than £120+ on a new tyre by using the honda puncture repair kit, added to which space saver will last longer than most people on this forum will keep there car so you could always ebay it when you sell you car.
