Question Brake pads for 1.8 Type-s

I'm not happy with the braking performance of my civic. Especially high speed braking (>160KM/h) is very bad and I call it almost dangerous compared to the brakes on my previous car. The brakes start to fade very quickly.

I've found the EBC greenstuff brake pads but they also do seem to fade quite quick. For so far it looks like the greenstuff pads are the most "performance"/best performing brake pads available for my type of civic.
Is this really true? No other options for brake pads on the standard brake calipers? (ferodo, EBC red/yellow, others?)

I hope I’m wrong because that would be a disappointment because I can't spend my money on replacement calipers and disks. (you know the misses )

Thanks for your help!

You can absolutely put other pads on there as the calipers are identical to other models (except the Type R). EBC will just recommend the Greenstuff, nothing stopping you putting something else on there. I'd recommend braided hoses and uprated fluid however if you can slip that one by without the misses noticing!

Would 100% recommend braided hoses and RBF. I have green stuff myself and wasn't overly impressed with them until I uprated the brake lines and it totally transformed them for me.

From my experience, EBC Green pads are poor. I have been most happy with Ferodo pads.. DS2500 for fast street use, but the stock Ferodo's are good if you don't drive fast.

That's the one thing that the EBC pads are really good for.

Thanks for your reactions!
I'll take the hose upgrade in consideration. First thing on my list is to replace the pads.

Ok, so if I understand correct there are ferodo DS2500 pads available for my type brake caliper? Does someone have a link or product number for the pads I need?

Thanks again!

Arghh
I've searched the entire internet after Syx had pointed out that there are indeed other pads available
After hours of searching I still cannot find which ferodo DS2500 or EBC redstuff pads will fit on my calipers.

Is there really nobody out there who can point me in the right direction?
