FD2 Wheels on FN2

I thought I’d post up these pictures of my wheels I had put on today.
I’m sure they won't be to everybody’s taste... in fact I wasn't sure if they would be to mine for a while!
But I came across a set of FD2 wheels on EBay a few months back that were at a good price, so I bought them (after a night on the beers) thinking with a repaint in Kaiser silver they'd look quite good. Anyway I won the wheels and they came, they had just been fully refurbished in championship cream, so i thought it would be a bit of a shame to paint them as they'd just been done, they even came with brand new centre caps. After a long thought about how white wheels on silver cars sometime look odd, I took the plunge and have had them fitted anyway

After finding out I’d really need spacers for them to fit I have bought some eibach 15mm spacers for them and my mate at Blackpool Honda put them on today for me.

You'll have to excuse the fact the car is dirty, and i will try to get some better ones when it is clean. For now though I am pretty happy with the way they turned out.

Ah yeah i saw this after i'd bought them when i was searching to see if anyone had them on already. Yeah I probably will paint them eventually, its just with forking out for the spacers, i couldn't afford them to be done just yet

Cheers for the comments.

The only thing I thought against black was I wondered if you'd be able to tell they were fd2 wheels and not the standard fn2 wheels, if I get them done I'll get them done in the standard fd2 colour Kaiser silver. I'll probably leave them like this for the rest of the year though.

Looks good matey As it happens, I have a set of FD2 rims in absolutely immaculate condition for sale. They're fitted with the original Japanese RE070s, which have about 2-3 mm of tread left - a superb trackday tyre? The colour by the way is Kaiser silver - PM me if anyone wants more details. I'll probably put a post in the 'for sale' section anyway.

Wheels look great on the car.... Give them a few months on the car maybe weeks and you will want to spray them, They look great in CW but a damn PITA to keep clean. I had my FD2 alloys sprayed they still look like FD2 alloys.

Well, I guess it was less than a week. I haven't sprayed the white ones, but I picked up a perfect set of Kaiser silver wheels this evening... An offer I couldn't turn down really as i really wanted them this colour. So I'll get some more pics up as soon as I've put them on the car.

Not the best pictures really as there just off my phone, and it still needs a wash but I manage to get the new wheels on this afternoon eventually. I managed to get a set of fd2 wheel nuts to match, which look way better in black too!
Really happy with the new colour on the silver, looks more OEM. I'll try get some better ones and give it a wash soon anyway.
