Eibachs 25mm & 15mm Spacer Problem

I have a 2008 EX with the standard 17" wheels, modified with Eibach Pro Kit (25mm drop) and 15mm spacers along with standard shocks.

However, noticed today that over a fairly bumpy country road that the tyres appear to be hitting the wheel arches - it's fine on more refined roads.

I'm loathed to remove the spacers due to the obvious handling benefits and as far as I can tell, the shocks appear to be ok (car done 67k).

I was thinking of replacing the shocks with Koni Yellows or FSDs. As I understand it the Yellows are for more sporty driving and hence I'm leaning towards these.

Has anyone tried the Koni Yellows with the setup above? Will new shocks reduce the amount of suspension movement and thus less bottoming out and catching of wheel arches?

I had this done - Koni FSD shocks, Eibach -25mm springs, Eibach +15mm spacers - all at once, so I can't vouch for just "Eibach & Eibach" alone ...

However, a bunch of folk have dropped the same, and even had thicker spacers (or a different wheel with a lower ET) and no reported issues - at least not on standard 17" or 18" wheels ...

Possibly the shock then?

Why did you go down the FSD route rather then the Yellows?

I simply asked ABP Motorsport for a recommendation, based on my driving patterns ! ...

However, are you sure the tyre is rubbing ? - it could be the loose sub-frame bolt issue, or failed drop links ...

Drop links have been replaced by Honda, but this definitely sounds like the tyre catching the wheel arch, especially when cornering hard (say 60-70mph on bumpy country road).

Not aware of the sub-frame bolt issue, but will take a look.

After checking a number of threads on here I'm pretty certain it's not the sub frame issue.

However, that's another problem to look out for! I was unaware of that one.

Spoke with Rich at ABP today regarding the above and recommends either Bilstein B8 dampers or they're new B14 coilovers - either will solve the problem.

£75 difference in cost of product. Given that my Eibachs are less than 3 months old which way do I go.

Any suggestions?
