Talking New wheels, How high?

Quick question, didn't have the patience to scroll through the pages and find a thread about it..... but...

I have a 1.4 Type S.

Considering buying a set of 18" blick R wheels, but obviously dont want my car to sit like a monster truck, how low should i go... looking for the same height as a Type R as IMO thats perfect hight and im on a budget to

Can I just change the springs? pretty sure I can...

Finally what make do I go for?

With some 18" they would fill the arches quite nicely as they are as you have a type s, but you have to consider the weight difference as well. You don't want very heavy alloys. A lot of people here, including myself, use Eibach. It's a nice little upgrade

Thanks mate, is it just me but are those springs seriously expensive for what they are? I know its different but on my old car I spent £100 on new eibach's, they were 25mm too if I recall.

And would their be any point in a FRS? considering its a 1.4 and I dont rag the nuts of it?

Well no a frs won't do you any good if your not looking for any Improvement in handling but just lowering it can cause excess ware on your tire, this price was just the first link I found you but I still think they are around £140

Hmm, would it be a very noticeable amount of wear or what could I expect?

There prone to it anyway I think, someone more expereienced could tell you but I'm sure it will increase it, a full frs and springs is £500 fitted
