grating noise when turning at speed..

When driving and turning at speed I can hear a grating / whirling noise coming from the front drivers side wheel. It's as if the disc is spinning loose or something.

Also when braking it feels like the brakes are rubbing the tyre, maybe minor vibration.

I have EBC discs , red stuff pads,, eagle f1 on 19 rage alloys . Type r.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Stone/grit stuck between pad and disc?

When you replaced your discs did you drill out your locating screw? If so id check your wheel bolts are on tight.

Splash guard around the disc catching on something?

I'd jack the front end up (securely) and then give the wheel a spin, could try it with the wheels at different angles. Doesn't cost you a penny to try to investigate...then if you have to result to a garage at least you haven't lost anything.

Good luck fella, i'm sure you'll sort it.

I jacked the car up and checked the fronts, I put red stuff pads on just over a year ago with discs so don't think it's them. I have just put 2 new Goodyear eagle f1 on back and have 2 eagle f1 on front which have done 7000 miles . it seems to happen when I have the wheel locked to the right , it's hard to know what to look for. I also don't fell confident when turning right at speed , it feels like the car is floating g and that the back end is going to lose control? It's as if the rims aren't on the tyres, feels weird, but they have been checked.

It's going in for a service this week so will tell them of the problems , I'm just hoping it's not expensive to put right.

Got car back from Honda and they said the reason for the noise is the drivers front disc is corroding badly on the inner face. So have to get new front pads and discs. Oh joy! Lol
