Wow, excellent job mate. TBH I much prefer the spray finish.
Assume you took them off to spray them which is why it took so long?

Did them on the car just masked them off well. That was 45 mins with wheel on/off. Longest bit was waiting for the brushed paint to dry on the lettering!

I have done a few of my cars with the pot and brush before but wont be doing that again as the spray looks much better , it was much easier and quicker.

I've never done this but would like to do it. Do you just jack a side up, pop a wheel off, paint, and wait? That on all 4 sides? Sorry if this sounds pretty dumb, I just want to do it the right/quickest way.

Yeah jack it up take the wheel off and get some kind of paper and masking tape to mask it off. I only did the fronts as the back calipers are already black. If you are doing red/yellow etc then you will need to do the backs as well.

Best way if painting with brush, jack one side of the car up, stick axle stands in, then as one caliper dries you can paint the other and alternate till a good 3 layers of paint. Switch to the other side and done. 1 1/2 hours on Sunday and got mine done.

All you need is car jack, some bricks, newspaper, masking tape, wire brush and some nice heat paint.

Take about an hour to do all 4. If you can reuse the newpaper and masking tape.

Personally, I just paint the disk too. Hate the ghetto rust look, after spending time on the calipers.

--EDIT--

Apologies, I completely forgot to comment on the great job you did.
Those type R callipers really look fantastic with the writing detail.

If I had any black paint, I would have done. Looks much better with them painted.

The sprayed look is fantastic and I will definitely go for this look. I am still surprised even with masking the paint didn't work through to the pad or disc. I'm a noob too so if you can explain more that would be awesome
