Wow, excellent job mate. TBH I much prefer the spray finish.
Assume you took them off to spray them which is why it took so long? |

I have done a few of my cars with the pot and brush before but wont be doing that again as the spray looks much better , it was much easier and quicker. |

I've never done this but would like to do it. Do you just jack a side up, pop a wheel off, paint, and wait? That on all 4 sides? Sorry if this sounds pretty dumb, I just want to do it the right/quickest way.

Yeah jack it up take the wheel off and get some kind of paper and masking tape to mask it off. I only did the fronts as the back calipers are already black. If you are doing red/yellow etc then you will need to do the backs as well.

All you need is car jack, some bricks, newspaper, masking tape, wire brush and some nice heat paint.
Take about an hour to do all 4. If you can reuse the newpaper and masking tape. Personally, I just paint the disk too. Hate the ghetto rust look, after spending time on the calipers. --EDIT-- Apologies, I completely forgot to comment on the great job you did. Those type R callipers really look fantastic with the writing detail. Last edited by garethedwards; 24th July 2012 at 17:57. |

The sprayed look is fantastic and I will definitely go for this look. I am still surprised even with masking the paint didn't work through to the pad or disc. I'm a noob too so if you can explain more that would be awesome
