They are very OK

Being on the back I wasnt expected much if any difference.
Ermmm.... I was wrong

It would nosedive before until the rears warmed up which took a while.
Now its starts braking hard long before there is any nosedive.
So early signs look really good.
There is much more control and cold bite too.

Its said they work fine on fire ...not sure I will push them that hard yet

Are the roesch pads to abrasive for plain oem discs or will you need ebc tg ones that are rated to 900 c?

If not they seem a good option - maybe better than the ferodo ds2500??

Is there any break in period for them - special procedure?

The literature says they are non abrasive due to the kevlar used.
Disks should last longer.
The pad material burns off to leave fresh material under use.

EBC are rated to 800c + but any disk with decent metal and a high temp rating (higher than 650c) should be more than adequate.
Read the quote...thats what I put it there for

Dont know what the break in procedure is.
They say its a short, fast break in procedure...so I am using the ds2500 one.

Thans mate - I did read it all but I am not convinced, that is why I begged the question.

If they are that good then there will be no need to upgrade to type r calipers discs and pads then - as there is only 12mm difference between the 2.2 and fn2 discs?

It looks like the only definitive answers to the poor brakes are braided hoses, uprated fluid and better break pads such as ds2500 or roesch pads??

Isn't that 12mm equal to about 10% increase in surface area though?

It may well be mate, What I am saying is that the bigger discs just gets rid of heat better. Overall the better the heat dissipation the better the breaking can be as not all of the pads contacts the disc it is only the piston diameter.

The tyres stop you the brakes just slow down the discs.???

Do't know what to think now lol!

Couple of good points there, however , you need to think of the disc and pad as a lever against forward motion, The longer the lever, the less force required, this is how a bigger disc works so I have been told.

Yes mate, that is also true - so a roesch pad combined with type r calipers and discs will be even better

They do mitsubishi pads.
Cant see evo listed though.
I would only recommend contacting them by email anyway.
You might never get anything otherwise.
