I brought the race 1's for the front end a few weeks ago! Such a lovely tyre, and good grip! Not to bad in the wet either, Telford roads seem to turn to marshes when it rains!

Would recommend them again, but the semi slick did catch my eye!

Tyre porn - thinking I might get these for summer tyres and run the race 1's as a second set on my standard wheels

Be good to see how they hold out after they have had some heavy driving and a few heat cycles on these. Are you looking to do any trackdays at all?

What's the verdict then? Have you had chance to give it a thrash yet?

It took a while to get the wax and releasing agents off the tyres. Ive had nice long run on various surfaces and they've bedded in nicely.

Thoughts
Masses of grip and very reassuring into bends. Road noise is obviously louder but not by too much. Not been in the wet yet so I can't comment.

All in all the best ££ I've spent.

Excellent work! It does take a bit to get the silicone type surface off. Let us know the verdict in the wet conditions as well. I'm sure the British weather will allow it shortly

Initial thoughts in the wet. No aquaplaning as yet and the car feels planted and assuring.

I recently was driving a race prepared FN2 (no guesses who's) for a week or so. It was running race tyres very similar to what I'm running and it was scary in the wet lol. So I think all round the syrons are a good investment.

I'll continue to monitor these tyres and report as I can.
