Swap lightnings for GPs??

Hey everyone,

I don't know if this is in the right place or not...but I have really taken a liking to the GP alloys (or something of that sort!) Also, my 19 inchers are starting to do my head with ride quality. And also not to mention the tyre prices!!

I was wondering if there was somewhere I could either swap mine for some, or if there would be anyone on here looking to swap at all??? This is probably a long shot but was just wondering!

I know I have the option to sell my lightnings, but I really don't know the going price at all!!

I would appreciate any help at all

I switched from Rages to GPs, but this involved getting shot of my Rages on the For Sale section here after I had bought a set of Mugen GPs from another forum.

TDI and some Honda Dealers stock Mugen GPs; although I love mine, there are other forged wheels. Hope that helped.

Have you seen the price of Mugen GPs?

Rota GR6s look very similar but with one less spoke.

I've been looking at the same option as well mate I've got my eyes on a set of rota p1s

Would love a set of gps but £3000 for them is way way out of my price bracket

You're looking about that much for a lot of the forged jdm wheels, even volk te37's and stuff are about 1500-2k

If you want lightweight wheels, you have to pay a premium. the lighter the wheel, the more you reduce the unsprung weight.

Yeah I can understand lightweight wheels will come at a hefty price

However the rota gr6s that Loxy has recommended are actually rather tasty! And they're really cheap in comparison! At 8kg a wheel, I assume they are much lighter than the standard lightnings??

In bronze too...mmm...

Its either those or go down to 17's and try and find some desmond regamaster evo's!

You could probably carry all 4 regamaster's on your own, that light. Haha!!

But yea the GR6's are great if you can't afford ray's or similar.

The 17x9 with et38 gives it the perfect stance when lowered. IMO!
