More up front?
Thanks for the comments so far guys, but the pressures shown for the petrol and diesel are well different in Pottsy's link.
Definitely higher for the front than the rear? |

If the manufacturer says 2.0 bar and you run at more than 2.2 or less than 1.8 (approx. I'm not doing the maths this time of night) you are running the car with illegal tyre pressures.
The Police allow +/- 10%. Tony |

My dealer got the pressures right on mine. 31 on the fronts 30 on the back (psi). I do 30 all around because i do lots of motorway driving (allowing for heat increasing pressure).
Standard 17"s on mine |

This is 100% true....
Phoenix Honda Linwood had me driving about for 6 months in my brand new Civic on 42 PSI, was furious when I found out (the wife complaining of a shockingly bumpy ride within a week should have been enough for me to check) Needed 4 new Michelin Pilots in under a year, Phoenix refused to say the PSI was to blame. |

Nelster,
That's pretty poor workmanship from the dealer. But you'll never get any comeback, since you should be using the car in accordance with the manual, and it says you should check your: Oil, coolant: with every fuel fill up Aircon: weekly Windscreen washer fluid, wipers, brake and clutch fluid, tyre pressures, lights, battery: monthly |

I use to have mine up at 40psi! Didnt handle very well so i tryed a bit of adjusment and it works very very well !
33psi in ront 30psi in rear spreads the tyre gets 1 mean grip on the road, any more and i felt my handleing was poor Obviously if you do alot of motorway driving pur more in but i travel light and do not clock up alot of motorway miles but i change my psi, if i am going on a long motorway journey OH AND THAT IS ON STANDARD TYPE S 17" |
