17" wheels

Standard 17" on my EX & normally have tyres at 32psi all round but just wondered how high you can go to to improve MPG without ride being too harsh or causing damage to tyres.

See one person here has them at 40psi but this sounds very high or is it ?

Unless your doing driving on the autobahn or racetrack, 30psi is fine for most road conditions!

Run 35/36 on the diesels
But we are 100kg+ heavier on the nose.
Anything less than that and we starting bending wheels on the speedhumps.

Hypermilers use high pressures so the tyre bulges in the middle of the tread.. reduces the contact pad / grip / friction = increased MPG.
But it sacrifices grip.

And increases tyre wear.

Yes...supposedly 32 in the rear unloaded.
But handling seems fine to me at 35/36 too
