Storms or Blades???

Hi,

I really can't decide which I'd rather have, I had ordered Blades, but the dealer mucked up and Storms are coming instead..... I sort of like both but for different reasons. The car is a type S GT in NHB and I thought the Blades looked a bit more exclusive on it, but...who knows.... I told the dealer I'm gonna think abnout it and IF I change my mind they can change them for one of the sets on their showroom cars... cheeky me

Any comments?

Hahaha, yeah I'm sure. I must admit I feel neither one way nor the other, but the Blades look that bit "Meaner", sort of more in line with the NHB look and the shap lines, whilst the Storms look easier to clean, hmmmm

I had the same deliberation as you and in the end went for the storms and I can say I was not dissappointed. The dealership didnt have any cars with the storms when i got it so was unsure what it would look like and sweated a bit until it arrived. All I can tell you is that the same dealership now has a lot of demo cars with the storms!

IMHO I think the spokes of the blades are a little thin, but I suppose its all down to personal taste and as you say it was there mistake so get them to change them if you dont llike them, oh and some compensation for the hassle!

The other upside to storms are they look like the Golf GTI wheels which I REALLY like, and they look like they would be stronger, because of the spokes as you say, they are a bit thin on the blades.

Compensation, I'm going for a cheap space saver (unfitted), not sure if I need one but seeing as I'm planning on taking my GF to France for a long week-end it seems sensible.

If I do that its a modification on my policy I'm still torn, both look good, but I can't decide which'll look best on the car in Black.....

Really? It really is the hardest choice I've had to make on this car so far, both look equally good I think.

Not really, they look good, but so do these (from another member hope they don't mind them illustrating the point):

those other ones do look nice
(you probably didn't want to hear that! )

I think blades are supposed to be exclusive to the S, in the same way that rages are on the R.

But friendly (helpful) dealers have been known to sort orders out and swap wheels round depending on who wants what and when...

Oh, so may have the Blades so as to be 'exclusive' (). It's just so difficult especially when all I see is a 1000 pound extra, that will annoy me if I'm not entirely happy.
