Honda F1 factory

Visited the Honda F1 factory yesterday, and felt completely common, Civics were bloody everywhere, in all shapes and sizes!
Didn't have enough Civinfo cards printed up to do them.

I visited the F1 factory in 2006, Basegreen was there as well. Very impressive.

I got in by winning a competition run by a Honda Blog site called 2Talkabout (that should stir a few memories for the old timers on the site!), and so did Basegreen. We got a tour of the factory, lunch and then a chat with test driver James Rossiter and Sporting Director Gil de Ferran. It was a great day out for me!

Went to the open day earlier in the year, was not impressed, poorly organised for the number of tickets they sold.

I have friends on the race & test team, they keep promising to try and get me a tour, although they need a quiet time, like they'll find one of those!

Unfortunately, I was there for work, so only saw one of the conference rooms, and the rather empty trophy display

I keep trying to persuade my colleagues that I need to go to Swindon with them the next time they are in there.

I went to the Renault F1 factory on Saturday but would love to go to the Honda one.

I'm sure the Honda one is the same but the Renault factory is VERY impressive, the people that put these cars together (for all teams) are the real stars of the show.
